Hilarious Harry Potter Signs You Won’t Find on Pinterest! I let the kids make some decorations for our party. The results were not pretty but they were definitely funny!
Check out these hilarious DIY signs my kids made for our Harry Potter themed party.
When our family decided to hold a weekend-long Harry Potter movie marathon, I knew right away that I would want to plan themed décor, games and treats to add to the fun. A quick online search revealed a lot of neat ideas including clever printable Harry Potter signs.
It was tempting to use these professional-looking free printables to create a Pinterest-worthy party atmosphere.
It was so hard to not hit that print button! But I knew it would be more fun for the kids to make their own signs for our Harry Potter weekend festivities. The results were funny and adorable, and the kids were oh-so-proud of their DIY signs.
You definitely would not typically find these hilarious Harry Potter signs on Pinterest.
Funny DIY Harry Potter Signs
Initially, I was going to print and use these Harry Potter Printable Party Signs from the Lovely Planner website. Instead, my children created their own signs modeled after some of these and used them as inspiration to create their own imaginative signs.
I printed/created a couple surprise images as well (including a Moaning Myrtle graphic for our toilet seat).

So Much Harry Potter Fun!
The kids’ handmade signs added so much fun to the festivities! My kids took each and every one of our houseguests on a tour to see each of their funny handmade signs, and it made my heart happy to watch the kids’ proud little faces as our houseguests laughed and smiled at each sign.
They may not be as pretty as some of the signs you run across on Pinterest but, in many ways, I think our DIY Harry Potter signs may have been better.
