If You Loved Little House on the Prairie…

One of the first book series I ever read was the Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder.  My grandmother bought me the entire set as a gift when I was around nine years old. I developed a reading fascination for pioneers, and my love for stories about pioneering families has continued into adulthood.

These is my Words is my favorite book.  I reread it once or twice every year. It has romance, action, drama, and humor. Inspired by the author’s family’s memoirs, I often refer to this book as Little House on the Prairie on steroids.

I have been reading Relativity by Antonia Hayes.  So far, it is really good. This story reminds me a little of the August Rush movie – a loveable and brilliant child who longs desperately for a missing parent.

My teen has been reading The Maze Runner series. He has a penchant for dystopian fiction. This has been fun for my husband and I because we watch the movies with him as he finishes each book in the series.

My second grader has been reading through the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series.

And, my preschooler is really big into “look and find” type books at the moment.
