Chugging Right Along (2018 Q3 Blog Progress Report)

It’s the end of another quarter! Time to check the stats for the Minivan Adventures blog!

I’m excited to announce that the Minivan Adventures blog is continuing to gain speed as it chugs along.

 

Chugging Right Along!

The Minivan Adventures blog is continuing to grow. In fact, this has been my most successful quarter ever! So exciting! Check out some of these numbers.

 

This Quarter’s Growth

This quarter, I saw an increase of 3,350 pageviews in comparison to the previous quarter.

• July – 3326 total pageviews
• August – 3775 total pageviews
• September – 2815 total pageviews

I also gained nearly 400 followers on social media:

• 228 new Pinterest followers
• 121 new Twitter followers
• 21 new Instagram followers
• 14 new Facebook followers

 

Growth Over the Last Year

While I was pleased with the numbers I saw for quarterly growth, I was especially pleased to see how far the blog has come in one year’s time.

The Minivan Adventures blog has more than tripled their total number of pageviews in comparison to this quarter last year!

Also, we have gained over 3,000 followers on social media over the last 12 months!

• 1091 new Twitter followers
• 884 new Instagram followers
• 825 new Pinterest followers
• 349 new Facebook followers

SIDE NOTE:  Pinterest accounts for about 1/3 of the traffic visiting my blog so it is especially exciting to see my Pinterest following continue to grow. Are you following Minivan Adventures on Pinterest yet?

 

Other Accomplishments This Quarter

More people than ever are discovering the Minivan Adventures blog through internet searches. This quarter, we had 2,774 pageviews from Google queries alone. That’s an increase of more than 1,600 from the previous quarter.

The Minivan Adventures blog has over 2,300 pageviews from Pinterest this quarter. That’s about 1,000 more than the previous quarter.

My blog post titled I Dare You to Do These Five Things at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is doing really well on Pinterest right now. This is a pleasant surprise because there is a lot of competition for any topics related to Universal Studios. It was a fun blog post to write, and I’m excited to see it do well.

And, a final accomplishment that I am particularly proud of is that I shared this post with all of my readers. It is part of a rough draft for a novel I’ve been trying to write, and before now, I have only shared it with a handful of people. It was scary to put it out there, and I am pleased with the positive feedback I have received from my readers. Thank you for your encouragement!

 

Chugging On

As the blog continues to move forward, here are a few things that I am looking forward to.

 

Minivan Reads

I have started a Facebook group for those who like to read and those who encourage children to read. As I mentioned in the April 2018 progress report, one of my goals with this blog is to find people to “talk books” with. I am hoping that the Minivan Reads Facebook group will grow into a supportive and sharing community where readers can have discussions and find good book recommendations. Please join us.
