A visit to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in Florida is a delightful experience. Magical surprises abound there, and all of the unexpected touches really add to the fun… especially the five things listed below.
I dare you to do these five things. (Click here to download a free printable list of these dares.)

Dare #1 – Platform 9 3/4
I DARE YOU to ask any muggle employee at King’s Cross Station for directions to Platform 9 ¾, and try not to feel foolish when they look at you like you are crazy.

Dare #2 – Dress the Part
I DARE YOU to try on a robe at Madame Malkin’s Robes for All Occasions, and then, ask the mirror how you look. Be forewarned though. The mirror’s response may not be flattering.
Dare #3 – Beware of the Monster (Book)
I DARE YOU to approach the Monster Book of Monsters at Dervish and Banges… if you are brave enough.

Dare #4 – Voldemort
I DARE YOU to say “Voldemort” in front of any cast member in Hogsmeade. Watch them recoil in fear at the mere mention of he-who-cannot-be-named.

Dare #5 – Goblin Chat
I DARE YOU to chat with the animatronic goblin at Gringott’s Money Exchange. Any conversation with this surprisingly lifelike goblin can be intimidating. If you are feeling exceptionally brave, try asking him if he is a house elf.
Bonus Dare (Just For Fun)
I DARE YOU to wear this temporary Dark Mark tattoo on your arm just like the Death Eaters do. See who notices and if they recoil in fear.
Go ahead. Do these five things during your visit to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and see what happens. I dare you!

Ah so fun!
The Harry Potter areas of Universal Studios Orlando were filled with all sorts of fun little details! We were all delighted!
This looks like so much fun! I need to go to Universal someday!
It was so much fun! And, I couldn’t believe how well organized the park is and how short the wait times were. Plus, so many of the attractions are air conditioned (a definite bonus during our hot August visit)!! It’s worth a visit, for sure!
If you can get my kid to read the series, then yes, I will take your challenge!!! I would love to do all of these dares! And cannot wait to visit Universal Studios!
If you can convince her to read the first three books of the series, that would be enough for her to fully appreciate the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Maybe a mother/daughter read aloud at bedtime for the next couple of months?
This is such a fun challenge!!! Love it! We’ve done the 1st one at King’s Cross in London :-)))))
